Keco woke up and whinnied franticly. She looked around and stopped whinning. She noticed the mountain lion was gone and there was no noise. Keco heard footsteps and got up. Keco looked right in front of her. She saw people down below walking around. Keco paused then reared. She looked around more for Spirit,Nemo,Star anyone!

Amazon turned away from Star nervously and trotted deeper into the woods, where a slight fog enveloped the land. He started grazing again on the wet grass.

Keco looked back up with sad eyes thinking of how rud ethey were to just leave them alone in somewhere someplace! Keco hit the ground with her paw so mad at others.

Amazon snorted at Star, then continued grazing. He saw a deer in the mist. He whinnied to it, and the doe stared at the large horse suspiciously, but soon started grazing.

Keco nickered of course. Then galloped down the hill full of anger.sadness, and most of all confusion. Keco reared and stomped her hoofs in some mud making it splatter all around her. Keco galloped past the willow tree and the oak tree. She darted into the forest knowing she wasn't cut out to be in a herd. She also knew Spirit's life and every one else's life would be better without her. Keco stopped thirsty and tired of running away all the time. Keco got a drink while thinking that they must all hate her Spirit must hate her the worst though...

Amazon snuck away from Star as she lay sleeping. She had loved him once, but she had acted funny. He went near the doe and glanced at her and her fawn, then walked under a weeping willow tree. The fog made the tree drip cool dew water onto Amazon's back. He lay down to rest.

Keco tossed her mane alone in the forest. Keco reared and felt the branches of high trees scratch on her neck and through her mane. Keco went through some thick grass and whinnied. Dhe spotted some water and troted over to it. Once again she reared and whinnied as loud as she could for Spirit. Once she settled and got some water to get drink. Then she troted off the path and weaving inside and outside the trees. She whinnied loudly again for Spirit or somehorse. Then contuined troting around looking.

Amazon heard a horse whinny. He smelled the air, but didn't get a familiar scent. He tossed his mane and silentry drifted through the fog like a ghost. Reaching a stream, he drank, carefully twirling his ears, listening for any suspicious sound.

Keco heard noise and her ears prickled up. She trudged through the muddy mucky forest floor tired and hopeless. She stopped and got some water to drink out of breath from no stopping. She nickered in return to the other one. She drooped her head. She washed off her muddy legs and hoofs.

Keco trudged out of the forest and saw sunlight. She blinked her eyes and nickered. She reared and searched for Spirit. Then troted one way deciding to start looking there. She nickered again and flipped her mane to the other side. She snorted and drooped her eyes.

Name: Honey
Gender: Mare
Age: 4.5
Breed: Thoroughbred
Color: See Below
Personality: Noble, Intelligent, Prideful, Caring and Gifted
Wish:N/A

Honey grazed peacefully in the vast meadow. The wind blew the long meadow grasses, the rustling creating a melodous sound. A swallow flew overhead and chatted noisly with its companion. Honey looked up at their passing and moved a short distance away from where she began. The spring here was mild and relaxing.

Giving up on grazing, Honey began her walk to the forest before her. It was old; her bones ached with the years. Yet it was not an uncomfortable ache. As she walked it was as though every blade of sparce grass, every leaf covered branch, every bramble gave her life, spurred her forward. A swallowtail fluttered past her on its way to a cluster of cow vetch, musk mallow, and yellow buttercups. Honey just kept on walking. Her hooves soon found a trail worn bare by the passing of deer and the preditors pursuing them. Ahead of her was an oak. Its branches reached the furthest throught the canopy above; and it was so big around that it would take more than three horses touching to go all the way around. Honey walked up to this old tree and laid her face on its weathered and rough bark. Whispers like a soft rain filled her ears, the scent of vanilla made her nostrils flare, and the word of the oak filled her.

Just as the oak had whispered to her the path that lie ahead was tined. The many paths of the deer converged in this area and led many places. To the right, the old oak had said, lie snow capped mountains and a pine forest. To the left lies a spring beneath an expansive waterfall. Honey paused at the crest of the fort, which way to go. She closed her eyes and let the forest decide for her. The forest was quiet for a moment and then sights, sounds and scents filled her. A thundering of water, the feel of the spray on her face, the smell of fresh grass, lillies and roses overwhelmed Honey. She staggered, but held her feet. It was decided then she would go left to the waterfall.

It was very clear to Honey when she started that this path was the one less traveled. As soon as she left the fork the well-worn deer path faded into nothing and Honey was left with one her instinct. The afternoon was wearing down as Honey stopped to graze. Pine boughs bent over forming a protective canopy over the only lush bit of grass. Honey ate heartly and then laid down and fell asleep, worn out from her travels. For many hours she rested peacefully beneath the boughs. As the sun reached the summit of the tree tops a loud clash of thunder roared over the land. Startled Honey dashed to her hooves and searched about for the source of disturbance. Overhead electric white lightning zigged and zagged its way to the ground. The flash and sizzle danced in the twilight, catching Honey's eye. Honey backed out from under the pine just as the first sputtering of rain began to fall. She hung her head as the rain began to thrum and beat upon her body. She was not looking forward to spending the night amongst the rain and lightning.

The dawn could not have come quick enough. Honey was soaked to the bone and was slightly chilled. The mere sight of the sun eclipsing the horizon lifeted her spirits. She shook and water droplets came off of her in droves. Her mane gave a sickly slapping sound as she shook of what water she could. With ernst she began to search the pines for an opening in their canopy where she could bask in the sweet kiss of the sun. After an hour of searching and nearly dry Honey finally came upon an opening. It was bittersweet and she savored every moment of walking into the glowing amber light. Until mid-morning she stood in the illuminated opening, and then moved off in search of fresh grass.

With pep in her step she made her way through the thickening pines. Unknowingly Honey walked upon a doe sheltered beneath pine boughs as she had been before the storm. Honey saw the doe last minute and went still. The doe was panting quickly and bleeted. Honey had happened upon the doe's final stages of labor and after more panting and bleeting a fawn came into the world. It was a fawn of the most unusual coloring. It was a piebald of creme and white and it took its first steps on unsteady legs. The doe rose to her feet and gave Honey a warning snort and stomped her foot. Honey took one last glimps of the fawn and trotted off.
